Colorado County is centrally located on Interstate 10.  It is between Houston, Austin, and San Antonio.  The county seat, Columbus, is a hub, dissected North & South by I-10, and East & West by Hwy 71.  Colorado County is named after the river that runs through it.  The Colorado River makes a horseshoe bend around Columbus. 

Colorado County has a long and colorful history.  There are over 80 historical markers, beautifully restored homes, museums, century old Live Oaks, and stately Magnolia trees.
